Parker is THRILLED to say....

He really is excited to have a little brother, but not so excited to hold the sign. It is practically impossible to get an almost 2 year old to hold a sign facing forward and smile at the same time.
We found out a couple weeks ago that we are going to have another boy and are so thrilled for Parker to have a little brother to play with. Plus, Brad is relieved because he wasn't quite sure how he was going to handle changing girl diapers since you can only wipe one direction. We have decided we are going to name him Garrett but not sure on a middle name. Any good ideas?

Born to be Wild

Well, the time has come to do something about the high gas prices. Fortunately for Brad that involves him "giving up" the Toyota 4runner to purchase a motorcycle to drive to and from work. Brad was absolutely GLOWING all day yesterday while riding/thinking about his new bike. I have never been a motorcycle fan but I have to admit...it IS a gorgeous bike and it is loads of fun to ride.
As you can see in the background of the photos, we still have our 4 runner. We are currently trying to sell it, so if you know anyone that would like a 2000 Toyota 4runner. Let us know.

I felt special today!

Here is just a small sample of what I experience for dinner tonight. This is the first time Brad fixed me a meal that wasn't from a box or cooked all day in the crock pot. First of all, for dinner he barbecued the most amazing steaks I have ever had in my life. (Not a joke, melt in your mouth goodness) On the side he prepared watermelon, baked potatoes and a side salad. I don't even think we got to the salad because he were so stuffed from everything else. Then for desert he made creme brule, a scoop a strawberry sorbet, a filleted strawberry and a sprig of parsley as a garnish. He even thought of a garnish! Needless to say, I had an amazing dinner which included no whining from Parker while we sat at the table. He chowed down on potatoes and watermelon and didn't make a peep.
Many of you have requested more belly pictures. Here you go. I am almost 16 weeks and my belly is much larger than anyone that I know that is at this stage of pregnancy. Yeah for me. (sense the sarcasm) But, isn't this picture adorable! Priceless of Parker smiling up at me.

S'mores and Fish

With Brad's mom visiting we thought it would be fun to go to our little local aquarium. Parker LOVED it!!! One of the first things we saw was this frog. They had a pool where you could touch sting rays; Parker tried to touch them, but he wouldn't put his arm in deep enough.
They had a cute little play area for the kids.

S'mores in the backyard. Once again, Brad got an AMAZING deal at Lowe's on a little fire pit. This was the first time we used it. It was so much fun. The downside is smelling like camping when you walk in the house. If you listen closely, you might even be able to hear Brad's laugh through the picture. He got his laugh from his mom, so when the two of them get together and start laughing...priceless.

I love this KID!

Parker is such a loving and snuggly guy. I love him so much, I just hope he knows. I do my best to take care of him, but lately he seems to be taking care of me. When I was feeling my worst with morning sickness, all I could do was lay on the couch all day and watch him play. So, he adapted, he started to bring me all his toys so I could help him or just crawl up the couch, get under my blanket and just snuggle. He never complained that I was acting like a bump on a log. He just kept showering me with hugs and kisses and even softly played with my hair a couple times. Now that I am doing a little better, he still wants to take care of me. If I am laying down with out a blanket he will go and drag Mommy's big blanket, put it on me and tell me "night night."

Why can't we all love others unconditionally like our little children. Yesterday, I tried to not take my nausea medicine (it didn't go well) so I was eating some chicken noodle soup at our coffee table for dinner. Parker insisted to not just sit on my lap, but totally invade my space so I could barely even get the soup to my mouth. I kept telling him in an annoyed tone..."move over," "Parker, mommy needs a turn, GET OFF" etc... I was getting so bugged that he wouldn't just let me eat in peace. Not only was he invading my space, but he kept trying to take my spoon and put his chicken nuggets in my soup. As my frustration grew, he lovingly put his cheek on my cheek to be close, then turned his head and gave me a soft kiss. If that didn't melt my heart, he stood up, turned around and gave me such a long and warm hug around my neck. I then realized, I didn't need to get mad at him, he just loves me and wanted to be close. Even though he knew I was so frustrated with him... he still showed me love.

I LOVE THIS KID!

Is this a joke?

#1- Remember the last post, it has been snowing off and on the last two days. It has been getting down in the low 20's at night. Is this a joke? If so, I don't think it's funny.
#2- I am not saying my belly is huge by any means, but HOLY COW! I don't remember my belly being this size until I was around 5 months with Parker. I am only 12 weeks. I know the second pregnancy most women's bellies "pop" earlier but wow. All of you mothers of multiple children, please tell me I am not going to be a blimp by the end. Will it slow down? If it kept growing at this rate I would look like I was having triplets. Don't worry..only one baby in there.
FYI- I am still taking Zofran, but I am feeling a lot better than before. I think I might even be able to get off the meds soon. I still throw up here and there and always in the mornings, but I can handle that. I have a lot more energy and I am actually getting things accomplished around the house with out having to lay down every 5 minutes.

Pure Heaven

It was nearly 80 degrees today!!! Too bad it will be back in the mid 40's by Wednesday. So, we found the only shorts and short sleeve shirt that we own that still fits Parker and we played outside. Brad got out the hose and Parker loved it. Parker's new favorite thing to do outside is to run back and forth next to our back fence. It's pretty funny to watch. This summer is going to be so much fun. I can't wait until we can go swimming.
Later in the day while Brad was at work, I mustered up enough energy and took Parker to the park only to find about half our ward there. I guess we all had the same idea. He had a great time though, eye-balling everyones bikes(his new obsession) and running after someones kite everytime it went in the air. He didn't even play on the slides because there were a million kids swarming around them, but he had a blast just running around and trying to keep up with the big kids.
