Fun in the Sun

I told them to be silly... Kellie was telling me a story about her friend that can do this but she can reach her foot practically to her chin.

This is not blood, just popsicle juices.
Parker's cousins Kellie and Kate came over today to play with him in the backyard. They had so much fun laying on the hammock, running through the sprinkler attachment on the hose, spraying each other with the hose and eating popsicles. Oh and at the end of the water fun, I didn't think it would be a good idea to have the hose running anymore, so I ran inside and grabbed a mixing bowl from the kitchen, filled it with water and behold...a new water adventure. They all had a blast taking turns jumping in it, sitting in it, drinking from it and dumping it over theirs heads and then refilling. To my surprise this was the part they seemed to have to most fun with... a bowl a water, who knew?! We were having too much fun to get any photos of the "playing" part, but hey, at least I got the camera out for some of it. Thanks for coming over to play girls. Parker and I had such a great time with you!

Daddy's Boy

I have always thought that Parker looks a lot like my side of the family, but then there are sometimes like this picture where he looks just like his Daddy, but with just bigger blue eyes. They are both such cuties!

Happy Father's Day Brad!

Top Ten Reasons You Are a Wonderful Dad! (in no particular order)
1. I NEVER have to worry when you are left alone with Parker. You always know what he needs and you make sure he is taken care of.
2. Parker will always have a buddy to to eat ice cream with
3. You not only take time to play and wrestle with Parker, but I think you like it more than he does.
4. You jump in and help when I have lost all patience.
5. Garrett isn't even born yet and you want to make sure he is safe.
6. Because of you our family will ALWAYS have a protector and we never need to worry about our safety. Your presence alone brings comfort to our home.
7. You can build or fix literally ANYTHING!!! And in most cases you will do as good of a job as a professional, if not better.
8. You bring the priesthood into our home worthily and are always willing to use it.
9. Our family NEVER has to worry if you love us or not. If hugs and kisses were food I think we all get enough hugs and kisses from you each day to feed at least the state of Utah for a month.
10. You will do almost anything to make sure that our family is taken care of financially. You are working 70 hours a week right now and you still have time to mow the lawn (by the way, it looks like a baseball field it is so perfect) take care of the yard and most of all you are still happy and you show us love.

SOLD!

After a couple weeks on the market, we sold our 4Runner. The buyer is picking it up today. Nothing more to say about it except that we are so thrilled it sold and at a price we were happy with. Goodbye 4Runner, you have been good to us and you will be missed!

Parker is THRILLED to say....

He really is excited to have a little brother, but not so excited to hold the sign. It is practically impossible to get an almost 2 year old to hold a sign facing forward and smile at the same time.
We found out a couple weeks ago that we are going to have another boy and are so thrilled for Parker to have a little brother to play with. Plus, Brad is relieved because he wasn't quite sure how he was going to handle changing girl diapers since you can only wipe one direction. We have decided we are going to name him Garrett but not sure on a middle name. Any good ideas?

Born to be Wild

Well, the time has come to do something about the high gas prices. Fortunately for Brad that involves him "giving up" the Toyota 4runner to purchase a motorcycle to drive to and from work. Brad was absolutely GLOWING all day yesterday while riding/thinking about his new bike. I have never been a motorcycle fan but I have to admit...it IS a gorgeous bike and it is loads of fun to ride.
As you can see in the background of the photos, we still have our 4 runner. We are currently trying to sell it, so if you know anyone that would like a 2000 Toyota 4runner. Let us know.

I felt special today!

Here is just a small sample of what I experience for dinner tonight. This is the first time Brad fixed me a meal that wasn't from a box or cooked all day in the crock pot. First of all, for dinner he barbecued the most amazing steaks I have ever had in my life. (Not a joke, melt in your mouth goodness) On the side he prepared watermelon, baked potatoes and a side salad. I don't even think we got to the salad because he were so stuffed from everything else. Then for desert he made creme brule, a scoop a strawberry sorbet, a filleted strawberry and a sprig of parsley as a garnish. He even thought of a garnish! Needless to say, I had an amazing dinner which included no whining from Parker while we sat at the table. He chowed down on potatoes and watermelon and didn't make a peep.
Many of you have requested more belly pictures. Here you go. I am almost 16 weeks and my belly is much larger than anyone that I know that is at this stage of pregnancy. Yeah for me. (sense the sarcasm) But, isn't this picture adorable! Priceless of Parker smiling up at me.
